Early trend reversed on inflation data, Sensex down 30 pts

Mumbai, Jan 29 (PTI) After rising over 121 points at the beginning, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex fell more than 30 points at midsession on fresh selling sparked by reports of a mild rise in inflation.The Sensex fell by 30.52 points at 9,226.95 at 1230 hrs from 9,257.47 at yesterday's close following reports of inflation rising to 5.64 per cent for the week ended January 17, from 5.60 per cent in the previous week.Similarly, the broad-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty fell by 27.45 points at 2,822.05, after opening higher at 2,873.85 points.
