Los Angeles, Feb 3 (PTI) Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Myers who is better known to Indian audiences as the football coach Joe from the 2000 hit 'Bend It Like Beckham' has set the record straight by saying that he is not all a romantic guy in real life.
Rhys Myers who potrays a young Henry VIII in the hit series 'The Tudors' said that he does not emulate the king's romantic prowess in real life, in an interview with People magazine.
"I'm not a romantic guy at all," said the 31-year-old actor. As means of explanation he added," I think I am probably romantic, but I'm not outwardly romantic. I'm not a player." The actor revealed that he did not beleive in the conventional sense of romance, and is rather prudish when it comes to serenading ladies.
"It's not that I don't believe in romance, It's that I don't believe in dinner for two by the ocean, walking down the beach holding hands, that version of romance. I am actually rather shy and prudish about holding hands," he told the magazine.
The actor who played Elvis Presley in the biographical mini series titled after the legendary performer has been a part of such films like the Colin Farell starrer 'Alexander' and Tom Cruise's 'Mission Impossible 3'. PTI
