Los Angeles, Feb 13 (PTI) In her first TV appearance since the infamous weight gain controversy, country singer Jessica Simpson said that despite facing harsh media criticism for sporting a fuller figure, she has taken it in her stride and is doing well, reported 'accesshollywood.Com'.
The "Sweetest Sin" singer performed her new single "Pray Out Loud" on CBS network's Early Show and then sat down for an interview where she talked about her upcoming tour and her much talked about weight gain.
Simpson, who is touring to promote her latest album "Do You Know" with the band 'Rascal Flatts', said that despite the negative publicity regarding her weight gain, her fans continue supporting her.
"We play Madison Square Garden tomorrow, and everybody is warm and welcoming and I get lots of hugs. I like that. Honestly, I am right where I am supposed to be and I am so very happy." The singer recently broke down onstage after forgetting the lyrics to her songs during a performance, giving way to speculation that the intense media attention has taken an emotional toll on her.
