Shah Rukh to undergo shoulder surgery

Mumbai, Feb 16 (PTI) Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was today admitted to the Breach Candy hospital in south central Mumbai where he will undergo a shoulder surgery, hospital sources said.
The "Badshah" had injured his shoulders on the sets of `Dulha Mil Gaya' in November last year, but, continued shooting for Karan Johar's `My name is Khan' in Los Angeles in US during which he experienced severe pain.

This is the actor's second shoulder surgery. He had earlier undergone a surgery in London.

"He was admitted in the hospital today noon and will be operated upon later in the day," sources said.

Khan, who was in London to promote his latest film `Billu', returned home earlier in the day after doctors had advised him to immediately undergo surgery. PTI

Shah Rukh Khan thrown out of Pepsi?

Shah Rukh Khan is no longer the brand ambassador of Pepsi. SRK when asked in regards to the same has sarcastically stated, “I am no longer a part of their campaign. They have thrown me out and I am jobless now.”

Just days back we had reported about Aamir Khan renewing his Coca Cola contract for a whopping Rs. 10 crore deal. SRK’s contract with Pepsi had got over in end 2008 and he was looking forward to a renewed contract with a much higher price as well.

Sources revealed, “The new Youngistaan campaign focuses completely on targeting the younger generation and Shah Rukh doesn’t seem to fit in that. Ranbir Kapoor who has already been on the Pepsi brigade shall be spearheading this upcoming campaign. The company however is still in negotiations for working out a deal for Khan’s IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming season but it appears unlikely that he will go in for it.”

Pepsi had earlier dropped their cricket star ambassadors Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Saurav Ganguly. They had very recently shot ads with new entrant Ishant Sharma along with Dhoni and Sehwag.

Miscreants attack Shah Rukh's residence

Unidentified persons allegedly threw kerosene bottles at actor Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow 'Mannat' in suburban Bandra in the early hours of Friday. The actor, who recently supported Valentine Day celebrations, was not there when the incident happened.

"Around 2:30 am, two motorcycle-borne miscreants threw the bottles filled with kerosene and fled from the scene. Security men at the residence 'Mannat' chased them, but in vain," Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Niket Kaushik said.

When the incident occurred, Khan was not in the house and nobody has sustained any injuries, he said adding that a complaint has been registered and further investigation is on in the matter.
