Things are bound to improve: Nasscom chief

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) on Monday advised the IT and ITES entrepreneurs not to be pulled down by world recession but to stay prepared for better days.

Ganesh Natrajan, Chairman of Nasscom and global Chief Executive Officer of Zensor Technologies, while addressing the "IT Conclave: Destination Bhubaneswar" organised by the Orissa Government here, said, "we are in the middle of a tough time. India will recover from the slowdown impact within the next nine months while USA will take another 18 months to overcome the recession." He said the recession was a temporary phenomenon and it is the best time to start reworking strategies.

By seeing as a great potential in tier II cities like Bhubaneswar to emerge major IT hub of the country, Mr. Natarajan advised the State administration to build world class infrastructure for IT as well as BPO workers.

He also said that the small centres like Sambalpur and Berhampur should succeed in IT sector so that its benefit would reach larger section of people.
