Mallika Handa is just 12-years-old and she has already won five gold and one silver medal in state level swimming championship this year.Besides that she had participated in CBSE National Level swimming championship and represented Uttar Pradesh at the championship held in Kolkata last month.
Mallika finds her mother as the primary source of motivation.
Her mother Shipra Handa says, "Mallika has got a very busy schedule. She undergoes swimming training classes for three hours in the morning and three in the evening. It is not easy as it requires lot of commitment. It is particularly difficult during school days to cope up with the pressure. She is also regular with her studies."
The 12-years-old girl of class VII gives credit of all her success to her mother who once dreamt of becoming a successful swimmer but was not able to due to family problems. "I made my mind that one day my dream will be fulfilled by my daughter," Shipra said.
